The Bundaberg and District Neighbourhood Centre is located at 111 Targo Street, Bundaberg, in the Historical Kenalwyn House

The Bundaberg and District Neighbourhood Centre is funded by Department of Communities to provide services and support to the community of Bundaberg.

The Centre is a well established community organisation incorporated in 1992 and the Centre is an information referral service with strong interagency connections within the community and offers a variety of community support programs.

The Centre also has an extensive range of community support services information.

CAMS Multicultural Program

The CAMS Program multicultural community worker undertakes systemic and group advocacy and community capacity building activities for the benefit of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. 


Community Action for a Multicultural Society - CAMS Bundaberg - Survey

We are currently running a survey for all migrants in the Bundaberg Area.
Its anonymous and take 3-5 min. The results will help us plan and improve future actions and support services accessible for migrants in our Region.

Bundaberg Migrant Settlement Services

Bundaberg Migrant Settlement Services (formerly Settlement Grants Program) has operated from the Bundaberg Neighbourhood Centre since July 2012 and offers a referral and advocacy service to the eligible new migrants within the Bundaberg area, Gin Gin and Childers.

Speech and Occupational Therapy Program

The Program aims to widen the educational options and increase participation in educational settings of pre-school, primary and secondary aged children with moderate to severe disabilities. Eligible students are those attending Catholic and Independent schools in Bundaberg, and the Norville and Walkervale Campuses of the Early Childhood Development program. The program provides Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy to the children, and support to their parents and teachers.

No Interest Loan Scheme - NILS

This Program provides no-interest loans up to the value of $1200.00 to low-income individuals and families, for the purchase of basic household items. Loans for items such as household appliances, furniture, education items or medical aids are considered for eligible clients. Conditions apply.

Literacy and Numeracy Program

The programs tutors endeavor to help participants to learn and improve their Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills to a standard that will support them to seek employment and improve their community involvement.

Tax Help

The 2016 Tax Help Program has now closed!  Our wonderful volunteers make this service possible for our community - the Bundaberg & District Neighborhood Centre facilitates the Tax Help Program in conjunction with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) between 1st July and 31st October each year.

Meeting Rooms

The Centre boasts 3 meetings rooms for conferences and workshops, 2 x kitchens ,full amenities and office space on an ad hoc basis for services. Two of our meetings rooms can also be converted into one larger room by retracting a divider wall. There is also parking with disability access at the rear of the building.


There is a fully secure playground area at back of centre which is utilised daily by playgroups, private party hire and Organisations who hire the meeting rooms who have young clients and visitors.
Historically playgroups were hosted every morning from Monday to Friday. It is now available for hire by playgroups, private party groups and organisations.
